"Why Choose Ahinsadham?"
At Ahinsadham, every animal carries a unique story — a story of pain, resilience, and hope. We are more than just a veterinary hospital; we are a sanctuary where each life is valued. From the moment an injured animal arrives, our team embraces it with love, care, and expert attention. We treat every animal like family, because we believe that every creature deserves a chance to heal, find happiness, and feel safe again.
Ahinsadham
Established in 1990 and officially inaugurated on November 5, 1995, Ahinsadham serves as a luminous beacon of animal welfare and non-violence (ahinsa) in Kutch, located just 44 km from Bhuj, near Mundra Port. What began with a generous 5-acre land donation from Shree Jadhavji Ravji Gangar, supported by Shree Damji Lalji Shah and Shree Jadhavji Lalji Shah Anchorwala, has evolved into one of India’s preeminent animal welfare centers, now sprawling across 600 acres. Under the visionary stewardship of Shree Mahendra Ratanshi Sangoi, Ahinsadham has emerged as a sanctuary for over 3,000 animals and birds. Known as “Bhagwan Mahavir Pashu Raksha Kendra, Anchorwala Ahinsadham,” we offer refuge for injured and disabled creatures, equipped with a cutting-edge veterinary hospital featuring ICU facilities for up to 500 animals.
Our two stunning campuses—Ahinsadham-Sankul and Nandi Sarovar—exemplify a commitment to compassion, striving to inspire a global audience through our unwavering dedication to ahinsa and exceptional animal welfare. In addition to our focus on animal care, we actively champion environmental initiatives, water conservation, and land preservation, working to create a sustainable future for all beings.
