Nandi Gopal is the name! The pride of anchorwala ahinsadham who had embodied his footprints in the guiness books, This bull that once marked himself
as a identity of ahinsadham had a lot to be known and was always a curiousity point among the visitors and many tourists along with the
researchers and meny more. There were many interesting points being spoken about Gopal like his OM shaped horns and the SHIVA LINGA shaped
back of his or The Damru shape in between his Horns. This bull was also referred by name like “Nandi Gopal” and people use to come and admire
this wonder and also pray him with affection.
The points that acknowledged the guiness books in 2002 to admit gopal bull were the Horns that measured 9.2ft long and 2.6ft in diameter. His own weight was 765kgs. His name is also recorded in Limca Book of Records. The Institution got popular among many people as Nandi Gopal rose to fame in India and abroad.
The horns were removed surgically on 21 August 2002 as they were affecting the health of the bull. Gopal died in 2004 but his Horns are still preserved by the Institute in an Incubator and still is the main attraction among the tourist too see his Horns. After his death the Institute has built a Samadhi Mandir as a tribute to the Mighty bull and is referred as “Gopal Smriti Mandir” and is also one of the highlights to be seen at Anchorwala Ahinsadham.
